CAiSE PhD Award

CAiSE'17: PhD Award

From CAiSE 2015, a “CAiSE PhD Award” has been initiated. Each year, an award will be offered to a PhD defended in the last two years. With the award being co-sponsored by the CAiSE Steering Committee and Springer, it will consist of a free full registration (5 days) to the next two CAiSE conferences and will be accompanied by a book voucher for a free selection worth EUR 500,- from Springer’s printed book program. In addition, the selected thesis will be recommended for publication as a monograph in the LNBIP series published by Springer.

Selection Committee

The PhD thesis submitted for the award will be reviewed by a standing committee composed of the CAISE Steering Committee Chairs, the CAiSE Advisory Committee, other members of the CAiSE Steering Committee, and on-going CAiSE Program Committee and General Chairs.

Application criteria

The condition to apply for the “CAiSE PhD Award” is having participated as an author to a previous CAiSE Doctoral Consortium and having defended the PhD thesis in the last two years.
The candidates to the CAiSE PhD Award should be nominated by their thesis advisor or the application of the candidate should be accompanied by a support letter from the thesis advisor.

Submission

The deadline to apply for the “CAiSE 2017 PhD award” is January 31, 2017 (Closed). The application should be sent to Selmin.Nurcan@univ-paris1.fr with a copy of the PhD (defended) and the support letter from the thesis advisor.
